theITChannel Vidcast: the Apple iPad 3G Experience
I finally got my shipment of the iPad 3G from Apple store and USunlocked last saturday 8th of April 2010. I had it for a whole 2 days before loaning it out to my friend David Chieng from SPH so that they can do a feature on the iPad 3G for June Edition of the Hardware Magazine HWM. So if you see a video and pic of it, it’s likely the same one you see here.
What’s in this video is I will show you the stuff I bought for the iPad and the iPad shipment itself from USUnlocked. As a first part of the whole iPad Experience Series, you will see how I unboxed the package, skinning the iPad with a screen protector, the iPad Cases and Sleeves.
The highlight of this episode is that on video I will show you how I cut and shaved down a standard sim into a MicroSim format and made the iPad 3G work on Singtel 3G, my current iPhone Data provider. Enjoy the video and don’t forget to leave your comments.

Great Video, man – thanks for sharing… think I will wait until they are available here… what camera did you use to film the video – awesome use of depth of field. Great!

Hi Carl, thanx. I am using a Canon 5D Mark II for the video. Yeah i love the DoF of a HD DSLR. Well the wait is about 2 months. It will be in Singapore around July as reported.

Bravo , Michael !
I really enjoyed your video and watched spellbound as you very confidently trimmed your sim down.
I can’t wait to try it out myself.
Well Done !
Raja
